On December 22, 2017, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) issued Notice 2018-06 to announce a 30-day automatic extension for insurers and employers to furnish 2017 IRS Forms 1095-B (Health Coverage) and 1095-C (Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage).  This extension moves the deadline to furnish these statements from January 31, 2018 to March 2, 2018.

This notice also extends transitional good-faith relief from section 6721 and 6722 penalties to the 2017 informational reporting requirements under sections 6055 and 6056.
