GROW 2019 Recap

New York Times best-selling author and speaker Gretchen Rubin joined nearly 150 professional women and men from the tri-state to inspire us to achieve inner calm through the creation of outer order. Through her personal stories and anecdotes, Gretchen reminded us why it is important to reflect on the effect our surroundings have on our state of mind and productivity level.

She also discussed the framework of her popular book and online quiz, The Four Tendencies, and how they relate to our outer and inner expectations.  While there is no “right way” to achieve goals, one of the four tendencies typically guides our response to expectations. Once we can identify what our default tendency is and the characteristics that define it, we can become better at prioritizing, engaging, and meeting deadlines.

Gretchen’s presentation encouraged us to lay the groundwork for a healthy lifestyle by reflecting and acting upon what makes us happy.  Even the arrangement of your desk can have a major impact on your day!  Learn more by reading Gretchen’s latest book, Outer Order, Inner Calm.
